Take a day drive out of San Diego to some local area wineries!

Get out of San Diego and enjoy the beautiful fall surroundings and some wonderful local wineries.   The best news...all destinations are easy day trips from San Diego!

My personal favorite Temecula area winery is the Robert Renzoni Vineyard.  The vineyard traces it's history to 1886 in Italy off the coast of the Adriatic Sea when Federico Renzoni began working in the vineyards of Italy.  While the current vineyard has been around only since 2004 in Temecula the roots are traced to Italy in the late 1880s.   Check out their website at: http://www.robertrenzonivineyards.com/

Another great choice is Longshadow Ranch Vineyard & Winery.  They trace their roots back six generations.  They also host numerous events and weddings on their grounds including a well known weekly bonfire on Saturday nights thru the Fall.  Their website can be found at: http://www.longshadowranchwinery.com/

Cordiano Wineries is known for not just wine but amazing brick oven pizza.  Cordiano's owners trace their roots to Calabria, Italy.  They moved to New York from Italy in the 1970s and began the journey that would end up as Cordiano working in pizzerias in New York and New Orlens.  See their website at: http://www.cordianowinery.com/

Monte De Oro is one of the newest Wineries in the Temecula Valley. They grow 100% of their grapes in the Winery's 72 vineyard acres.  What's interesting about Monte De Oro is that it is owned by a collection of 68 owners from around the world who are interested in primarily fostering the growth of inland valley wineries.  See their website at http://montedeoro.com/

For a special treat on November 22 check out the Fall Harvest Wine Tasting with the Cohn Restaurant Group in Escondido from 3:30-5:30pm for our Fall Harvest Wine Tasting.  Taste barrel samples and newly released wines from 11 of San Diego County’s premier wineries.  Tray passed hors d’oeuvres will be served and wines will be available at below retail prices.  Tickets for the Harvest Wine Tasting are $25 per person.
