It’s that time of year where pumpkins and hay rides become regular topics of conversation as everyone prepares for Halloween and Thanksgiving. We’ve complied lists of top pumpkin pickin places to go this weekend with your family and friends.
Bates Nut Farm has long been a local favorite spot for pumpkin picking. This Friday, October 17, 2014 from 3:00pm to 8:00pm come out after school or work and get your weekend started in the Pumpkin Patch. There will be live music, great food and all of the regular pumpkin patch fun including straw mazes, tractor hayrides, farm zoo, and retail stores. This weekend’s music is provided by local favorites Nitro Express. Grab a bite to eat from a gourmet food truck or "What's Cookin" BBQ from 10 am to 4 pm daily on Saturday and Sunday.
Saturday, October 25th from 12-3 pm the Pumkpin patch will feature the live band Ash Street Ramblers on the main stage. Saturday's food truck is Urban Eats which features farm to table food open from 10 am to 4 pm. On Sunday the food truck rotates out to feature Devilicious (Gourmet Sinful Dishes) from 10 am to 4 pm.
