San Diego Lifestyle

When you’re talking about places to live, San Diego just about has it all.

With the ocean and bay, there is plenty to do on the water or at the beach. The mountains aren’t far, either, and are great for winter sports, hiking, and camping. Of course, just east of the city is the desert, beautiful for exploring or relaxing, and host to one of the biggest music festivals in the country every year.

There’s not much out of reach when you live in San Diego. The city boasts not one but two world famous zoos; the San Diego Zoo and the San Diego Zoo Safari Park. Then there are the aquariums, such as Sea World and the Birch Aquarium. Other attractions include Lego Land, and amusement parks such as Six Flags, Soak City, and Disneyland are all within reach for a day of fun.

San Diego also has professional sports teams to follow like the San Diego Chargers and the Padres. With the newly built Petco Park in downtown San Diego, going to the Padres game makes for a perfect afternoon and evening in the summer. But San Diego also plays host to a variety of other sporting events, such as PGA golf tournaments at the iconic Torrey Pines Golf Course, international soccer matches, and surfing competitions. The Del Mar Racetrack is well known for its racing season in the summer where locals can view and bet on the horse races.

With great weather all year round, there always seems to be something exciting going on in San Diego. Keep your eyes and ears open for great events to check out such as Comic Con, the Del Mar Fair, the Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon, Restaurant Week and food/drink festivals, or the U.S. Sand Sculpting Challenge. When it gets right down to it, San Diego is a city full of friendly, easy going people, many fun things to do, and beautiful, safe neighborhoods.
